Tap the Trips tab and hit the + button in the top right. Give your trip a name — something like "Nullarbor Run 2026" works great — and tap Create. Your trip is now active and ready for check-ins.

When you arrive somewhere interesting, tap Check In on the Now tab. JourneyLog uses your location to identify the place, generates a short description automatically, and saves it as a stop on your trip. You can edit the name, add a photo, and rate the stop before saving.

Yes. Check-ins are saved locally to your device the moment you tap Check In, so you never lose a stop even in the middle of nowhere. When you're back in range, JourneyLog quietly syncs everything to the cloud in the background — you don't need to do anything.

After checking in, tap the camera icon on the stop detail screen. You can take a new photo or choose one from your library. Photos are compressed to keep things snappy and synced to your account — max 2 MB per photo, JPEG format.

First, check you have an internet connection. JourneyLog syncs automatically when signal is restored — you can also trigger a manual sync by pulling down to refresh on the Trips screen. If problems persist after reconnecting, try signing out and back in. Your local data is always safe on the device.

Open a trip and tap the share icon in the top right. JourneyLog generates a map card showing your route with all your stops, which you can share via AirDrop, Messages, or any other app on your phone. No account needed for the recipient.

On the Trips screen, swipe left on a trip to reveal the delete option. Deleted trips are removed from both your device and your account. This action can't be undone, so make sure you're done with it first.
